If you wish to give a customer a discount on their purchases, either in full or in part, you will use the discount button. You will discount an item by making sure that is selected before clicking on Discount, if no item is selected the discount will be applied to the entire bill. Once you have clicked the discount option, you will have the choice to discount the item/bill by a dollar amount, or a percentage. The new discounted price will be reflected after you click on “Enter” in the Discount option.
Once you have entered the correct discount and clicked “Enter” you will now have to process the payment. You will click on “Payment”. If there is a remaining balance that the discount did not cover, you will select the method of payment that the customer will use to pay the rest (cash/credit). If the balance is now at $0, you will select “Other”, click “Exact” and then press “Enter”.
